What happens in a session

What actually happens during a Jyotish consultation?

We begin with a shift: instead of asking what will happen to me, we ask what is my life asking of me right now. I read your birth chart with you – not as a verdict, but as a map of your karma, your timing and your lessons. There’s nothing to fear and nothing to buy. Just a clearer view of the pattern you’re already living inside.

I draw on breathwork from the Art of Living tradition, along with the Yoga Vasishtha, Bhagavad Gita reflections, Ramayana wisdom and self-inquiry practices – online or in person, individually or in a small group, whichever suits you.

Yes. A short 15-20 minute follow-up call is included, usually scheduled 20-45 days after your consultation. Beyond that, a quick question by email or WhatsApp is always welcome – for anything more, I’d suggest we book a further conversation.

No, sessions aren’t recorded. I prepare a written summary of the relevant chart details and share it with you 24 hours ahead of our session, so we can go straight into the conversation when we meet.

Philosophy and approach

Do you believe in "bad" planets or "bad" periods?

No. There’s no dasha that simply makes life worse — only a season of preparation, transformation or rest before the next stage of growth. Saturn brings patience, not punishment. A difficult placement is met with “what is this asking of me?”, not fear.

No. No gemstones to purchase, no remedies to sell, no weight to carry home. Understanding is what actually changes how someone moves through their life — a stone or ritual only manages the surface.

If astrology has scared you before, I want you to know: that is not the only way to read the sky.

A birth chart is not a verdict. It is a map — of your karma, your timing, your lessons and your deeper possibilities. I’m not here to tell you what will happen. I’m here to help you understand what’s already moving beneath the surface. Present effort matters more than the past.

I won’t give you a date or a yes-or-no answer — that isn’t what this work is for. What I can offer is a clear look at the season you’re in: what your chart shows about timing, the pattern at play, and what this period may be preparing you for. Most people find that understanding serves them better than a date on a calendar ever could.

Placements, reframed

A few specific placements and doshas people often ask about by name:

My astrologer told me my kundli isn't good.

There’s no such thing as a bad kundli. Every chart carries both ease and challenge — that’s simply how life moves. What matters isn’t whether a chart looks “good” or “bad,” but understanding what each part of it is asking of you.

Yes. Sadhesati isn’t something to fear; it’s Saturn asking for patience, discipline and a slower pace. A consultation can help you understand exactly what this season is preparing you for, so you’re moving with it rather than dreading it.

Rahu and Ketu aren’t malefic — they’re intensifiers, magnifying whatever they touch. We’ll look at what that intensity is drawing your attention to and what it’s asking you to work with consciously, rather than treating it as a warning sign.

There’s no bad house — only one with a particular lesson in it. We’ll look at what that placement is highlighting in how you relate to others, and talk through the everyday shifts that tend to ease the difficulty far more than any remedy would.

Mangal Dosha is one placement among many — not a verdict on your marriage. A consultation looks at your whole chart: what that placement actually means for you, and what it’s asking you to understand about partnership, rather than treating it as a warning.

This is one of the most tender questions people bring into a reading, and I hold it carefully. A chart can point to timing and patterns, but it isn’t a diagnosis and it isn’t the final word. We’ll look at what your chart actually shows — often it’s about timing rather than possibility — alongside whatever guidance your doctor is already giving you.

There’s no such thing as a bad career house — only a chapter with its own timing. We’ll look at what this chapter is asking of you professionally, and what practical next step it might be preparing you for.

No. A challenged house describes a pattern, not a permanent sentence. We’ll look at what your chart shows about your relationship with money — the timing, the lessons — so you’re working with the pattern instead of feeling stuck inside it.

A chart can point to areas worth paying attention to, but it isn’t a diagnosis. A consultation can offer a sense of where your body may be asking for more care — alongside your own medical guidance, never instead of it.
