We want to know everything. We want to know what will happen next month, next year, in the decades ahead,...
Long before spirituality became the centre of my life, I was trained as a scientist. I studied immunology and spent years working in research learning to observe carefully, question assumptions and seek evidence before drawing conclusions.
Alongside my scientific work, an ancient stream of knowledge kept quietly returning to me: Jyotish. The first book arrived when I was fifteen. I read it, put it down, moved on. Yet over the following decades, this knowledge continued to find me through books, teachers and encounters that felt, in hindsight, as though they were always meant to come.
One part of me deeply drawn to spirituality, self-inquiry and the wisdom traditions of India. Another part the scientist watching carefully, withholding complete trust, waiting for understanding to arrive not through belief but through direct experience.
My father’s illness. His passing. The long nights that followed. A journey to Manikarnika Ghat in Varanasi where, standing before the sacred fire, something in me finally understood what years of study had prepared me for. The knowledge I had held at a careful distance stopped being information and became lived understanding.
Not as predictions. Not as warnings. But as a compassionate map of karma, timing, suffering, love and the quiet intelligence moving beneath every human life.
Since then, I have sat with hundreds of people through Jyotish consultations — listening not just to what is happening in their lives, but to what their lives are trying to become through it all.
Alongside Jyotish, I continue to walk the path of spiritual inquiry through meditation, self-study and the teachings of Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar ji, under whose grace I have taught meditation, breathwork and wisdom programmes for more than two decades through the Art of Living Foundation.
For many years, I also served and took initiatives for youth skills training, women empowerment, digital literacy in rural communities and natural farming training for farmers.
I am also an author. My first book, Until the Fire: What Death Taught Me About Living, is available now. Few more are on their way.
